Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TheSalesGrid ("TheSalesGrid", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website and application at thesalesgrid.com and app.thesalesgrid.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
TheSalesGrid is a B2B sales-outreach platform that helps businesses build prospect lists, verify contact details, send and manage email/LinkedIn outreach from their own connected mailboxes, and track replies. The data controller is TheSalesGrid; contact us any time at support@thesalesgrid.com.
2. Information we collect
a. Account information
Your name, work email, workspace details, and authentication identifiers when you create an account.
b. Prospect and CRM data
Business contact data you import, search for, or generate within the Service (names, job titles, companies, business email addresses, phone numbers), and the outreach activity associated with it (messages, sequence state, replies, tasks, notes).
c. Connected mailbox data (Google / Microsoft)
If you connect a sending mailbox, we access that mailbox only to operate the features you ask for — sending your outreach and syncing the replies and bounces to those messages. See Section 3 for our specific, limited use of Google user data.
d. Usage and device data
Standard log data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) and product-usage events used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3. Google user data & Limited Use
When you connect a Google (Gmail / Google Workspace) mailbox, TheSalesGrid requests the following Google OAuth scopes:
- gmail.send — to send the outreach emails you compose or schedule, from your own mailbox, on your behalf.
- gmail.modify — to read the replies and bounce notifications to those outreach threads so we can show them in your unified inbox, classify intent (e.g., interested / out-of-office / unsubscribe), pause the cadence when a prospect replies, and protect your sender reputation.
TheSalesGrid's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing sending and reply-management features described above.
- We do not transfer or sell Google user data to third parties, data brokers, or for advertising.
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
- We do not use Google user data to train generalized or third-party AI/ML models. Where AI is used to draft a reply or classify a message for you, it operates only on your data, only to provide the feature to you.
- Humans do not read your Google user data except where you explicitly request support, where required for security or to comply with law, or in aggregated/anonymized form.
You can disconnect a mailbox at any time from the Deliverability settings, which revokes our access and stops all access to that mailbox's data. You may also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions.
4. How we use information
- To operate the Service — sending from your connected mailbox, syncing replies, running sequences, scoring leads, and reporting.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and maintain deliverability and sender reputation.
- To provide support and communicate service-related information.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. How we store & protect information
Data is stored with reputable cloud infrastructure providers. Mailbox credentials and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, and transport is encrypted in transit (TLS). We retain data only as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by law.
6. Sharing & subprocessors
We share data only with subprocessors that help us run the Service (cloud hosting, email/data-enrichment providers, and authentication), each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
7. Data retention & deletion
You can delete contacts, messages, and connected mailboxes within the app. On account closure, or on written request to support@thesalesgrid.com, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@thesalesgrid.com.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the app.
